Ms Moll Photography

It might not have been the most lucrative day, but Saturday was certainly lots of fun and I met some lovely people (including my ex-partner's new girlfriend!).

I'm a member of a Sheffield based craft collective, Craft Candy, and Saturday was their first fair. Held at the workstation in town we had over 550 visitors to the many stalls.

The best thing about the day was the high quality of the good on sale. All had been handmade (or taken in the case of myself and two other photographers), and the organisers had vetted all applicants, so only the best quality was sale.

Items included Macbook sleeves (which were fantastic, I couldn't resist), sock monsters, jewelery, soft furnishings, cards, illustrations, bags, pottery, handmade books, and even cupcakes!

I sold a number of greetings cards and badges, and a framed photo of some Banksy art - not a great sale day but still really enjoyable.

John and Caitlin joined me for part of the afternoon, and both took some excellent photos of the event (John's will be used on the Craft Candy website).

In fact we were very pleased with Caitlin as without any prompting she picked up my Nikon and wandered off taking photos - really good ones, she certainly has her father's eye for a photo.
